Our customer is specialized in the development and manufacture of equipment used in cable TV and broadband telecommunications networks.

To strengthen its R&D department, our client is combining its reputation with the strengths of proselect in its search for a :

MECHANICAL DESIGNER (h/f/x)

1. Uw uitdaging!

   A collaborative and responsible position !

   You will work closely with our international sales team and provide technical support and design concepts based on customer requirements and needs.

   In short, you will:

   • Develop fiber optic and FFTx product-concepts and designs ;
   • Create and evaluate prototypes ;
   • Act as technical support for sales in product presentations of your designs, initially in BeNeLux and Germany ;
   • Create and maintain related technical documentation ;
   • Support Quality Control in setting up related product testing and verification.

2. Uw talenten

   Dynamism and team spirit !

   • Competent in 3D design with professional software (e.g. SolidWorks) ;
   • Experience in fiber optic product designs, knowledge of plastic materials and using them in designs ;
   • Understanding of fiber optic technology and FTTx networks (seen as benefit) ;
   • Interest and knowledge towards environmental requirements and how to utilize in designs (seen as benefit) ;
   • Patience, passionate, rigor, applied, hands-on ;
   • Initiative, independent, sociable, team player ;
   • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools ;
   • Good command of the English language (both in word and writing) other languages would be an asset.
